The purpose of any position within VICI is…

  1. To play a full part in the life of the VICI Language Academy community, to support its distinctive aims and inspirational ethos and to encourage colleagues and students to follow this example.
  2. To assist in the implementation and delivery of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students and to support designated curriculum areas as appropriate.
  3. To support the overall progress and development of students as a classroom teaching assistant.
  4. To facilitate and encourage a variety of learning experiences which provides all students, whatever their gender, ethnicity or ability, with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential.
  5. To contribute to raising standards of student attainment and achievement.
  6. To be responsible for supporting learning in accordance with the designed department programme.

Our standard, in brief:

  1. Support the aims and inspirational ethos of the VICI Language Academy.
  2. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance upholding the VICI Language Academy’s behaviour code and uniform regulations.
  3. Respond to communications in a professional and timely manner.
  4. Attend and participate in open evenings and ‘Graduations’.
  5. Attend and participate in team and staff meetings.
  6. Contribute to the process of monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum area/department in line with agreed school procedures including evaluation against quality standards and performance criteria.
  7. Help to identify and implement modification and improvement where required.
  8. Adhere to the academy’s official timetable.
