Hi, I’m Nathalie, the VICI Academy owner and director.
I’m originally from a beautiful area of rural France – Jura – unspoiled but a far cry from an international metropolis with mind-expanding experiences.
Bilingualism wasn’t on my family’s radar; I wasn’t an academic high-flyer, neither of my parents spoke a second language, and there weren’t a lot of opportunities for linguistic exposure.
So, as someone who didn’t start out as the kind of person for whom bilingualism was an obvious and foregone conclusion, I realised that with a desire and a willingness to learn, ANYONE can become BILINGUAL – as long as you’re surrounded by a team that is equally as committed to helping you achieve your results, as you are.
Whether your goal is to travel, communicate with native speakers, boost your career prospects, or simply expand your horizons, we’ll help you with the best way to learn French, to equip you with the skills and confidence you need to succeed.

Hi, I’m Nathalie, the VICI Academy owner and director.

How you can learn with our packages:
1:1 Private Coaching
We have highly trained, friendly and expert French teachers qualified in 1:1 Private Coaching.
As one of the fastest ways to fluency, they will work with you to identify and analyse your French learning style, offering personalised sessions and guidance to suit you.
They will truly get to know you to understand your passions and motivations, offering tailor-made lessons to help you achieve your goals.
Packages start at £327 for regular private sessions.
Group Coaching
Many of us like to learn with peers beside us, but actually getting to a language centre often puts a barrier in place.
Our group coaching normally takes place in the evening as an online French course with i.VICI (our live online coaching platform), so you can easily hop on and join your group lesson from the comfort of your own home.
You will have the opportunity to connect, practice and share ideas with both your coach and the other students while becoming proficient in the language you love.
Beginner and intermediate sessions are available.
We offer membership from £84 per month.
On-demand Online Learning
In addition to our live group coaching, we also offer on-demand online learning through our partner language platforms, where you will work through modules at your own pace. This is a fantastic self-study practice, superior to learning on an app as it was built to be a professional programme.
Generally, our students find this works as a great supplement to either 1:1 sessions or Group coaching.
Online access at £17 per month.
Residential Programmes
If you know you learn best by throwing yourself into an immersive environment, our residential stays offer that, where you speak, eat and see all things France!
We have been running residential trips for seven years, which have proven to be highly successful. Not only will you put your skills truly into practice, but you have the opportunity to develop yourself personally and network with a group of similar-minded linguists.

Blended Learning Packages
If you think you want to combine a few of the options we have on offer, we will advise on the best way forward for you.
We create tailor-made packages to suit your learning styles and really advance your French learning.
A popular option is to combine access to group sessions, a weekly coursework session online and occasional 1:1 coaching.

VIP Days
Every few months, we run VIP French Days at the academy, for the linguist community who love to get together!
Our VIP Days give you the opportunity to take part in interactive French workshops, one-on-one focus sessions and a chance to review your study plans with peers and your coaches.
The focus of the day is on communication and community, so you will get the chance to really get to know other like-minded linguists!

There are 34 questions in total – with gap filler and written comprehension exercises. At the end, you can download the booklet and check your answers yourself, it also includes advice on your proficiency level and next steps for progression.

Do you need our help figuring out what your level of French is?
We offer formal online language testing for those who need to get an idea of their language proficiency, perhaps for a CV or application. You can take an online test with us, and your results will be delivered back within 48 hours.
Test results are based on the European Framework for languages, indicating your level between A1 – C2 (beginner to advanced).

We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to your French learning.
We know that not everyone needs or wants exactly the same thing when it comes to how to learn French, which is why we continue to offer bespoke online language programmes, ensuring that your learning path suits your needs and your lifestyle.
Some of our clients have a simple monthly membership, while others invest in 3, 6 or 12-month blocks. There’s no right answer; it’s about the answer that gets you to where you want to be.
Whether you’re a kinaesthetic (you do to learn) or an auditory (you listen to learn) style learner, we can support you, offering consultations on how best you can spend your time.
