Unforgettable Educational Summer Holiday in France!

Are you looking for ideas to challenge your kids during the summer holiday?

Join our immersive French Summer Camp for children and teenagers aged 9-16.

Learn French, explore the natural wonders of Jura, and make new friends!

Three girls in red tshirts learning French in a classroom

Our French Summer Camp offers a unique blend of language learning and cultural immersion in the beautiful mountainous region of Jura.

Surrounded by forest and lakes, our camp is equipped with classrooms where your child will be able to develop their French language skills while having fun. When not in class, they will explore the outdoors, go on cultural excursions and relax in a resourceful environment.

Why do we choose Jura as our camp location? Jura is not only a nature heaven of green forests, turquoise lakes and mountain meadows that borders the Alps, it is also the home of our Academy Director, Nathalie Danon, who knows the region like the back of her hand.

Stephanie (Juliet's Mum)

My son is 9 and he has weekly language classes with VICI. He has just returned from an immersion programme organised by the team.

First request upon his return? Going back next year!

That speaks volumes on the quality of his stay. Thanks to Nathalie and the whole VICI team, we’ll see you again!

Fran (Fin's Mum)

Thank you so much to Cécile and VICI Academy, we had exceptional service!

My daughter Emma came home absolutely transformed by her immersion experience and made lots of friends along the way too. I’ve never heard her be so excited about a trip like this before!

The whole trip has given her a new outlook on life and her future. An extremely worthwhile investment!

FAQ’s

My child has never learnt French, can they enrol in your Educational Summer Programme?

Absolutely! We organise daily educational and fun activities to start the class before splitting the children into different levels groups.

My child is less than 9 or more than 16, can they enrol?

We may take children from the age of 7 to the age of 18. Please get in touch with the team so we can have a personal conversation and make sure your child will benefit from the program.

I would like to book for 2 (or more) children. Can I get a family discount booking?

Yes! You get a 5% immediate saving for booking for 2 children. For booking for 3 or more children, please contact the team for a personalised quotation.

Also, we operate a referral program: once you are enrolled, if you promote the program to your family or friends and they join, your child will get 30 EUROS of pocket money at the beginning of the Camp to spend on extra snacks, extra activities or shopping in town.

Do you provide a French test at the end of the Camp?

The last day is built around a French language workshop that will target all the communications skills, foundations and contents that we will have worked on during the Camp which will help us to evaluate the children and see how much progress they have made. All the children will be issued with a certificate at the end of the Camp.

My child doesn’t like or can’t participate in a particular activity, can they skip it?

Yes. You will receive the full programme about 3 months before the Camp. If there is an activity that your child doesn’t want to do, please let is know in advance so they can skip it, or alternatively we can replace it with another activity.

Will my child have a private room or dormitory room?

The children will sleep in shared rooms.

What happens if my child gets sick?

If your child gets sick, our team will provide first-aid assistance. All our team members have completed a health and safety training. If your child needs to go the hospital, we will make the decision ourselves and you will be informed immediately. No medication or treatment will be administered to your child without your permission.

What happens if my child gets homesick?

We do our best so that it doesn’t happen! The children are looked after all day long and, as their agenda is quite full and exciting, when it’s time to leave, most children say they want to stay with us! If we notice a child who isn’t well or appears to be homesick, we will give them personalised care and attention.

We kindly ask parents to limit the communication with their children throughout the stay as we have noticed it can trigger a feeling of homesickness.

Can I view the camp online before I book?

Yes, we will share details on accomodation with all the participants in due time, and we will have a Whatsapp group throughout the camp to share photos with the family.

Can my child arrive/leave outside set dates and times?

Your child may arrive later date, however please note there will be an extra cost to arrange for potential pick-ups and drop-offs. We will not be able to accommodate any changes after the 30th July which is the last day of camp.

Does my child need to bring money in Euros?

Any pocket money should be in Euros. Your children can bring change or a card. They may be able to find a bureau de change at the airport where transaction fees will be high.

What should my child bring?

Your child will need to bring the following items (non-exhaustive list):

  • Towels (one for bathing and one for swimming)
  • Toiletries
  • Backpack
  • Hat or cap
  • Suncream (SPF 30 or higher)
  • Insect repellent
  • Lip balm
  • Sunglasses
  • Bathing costume
  • Shorts
  • Long pants
  • Sweatshirt or light jacket
  • T-shirts
  • Warm clothes
  • Scarf
  • Raincoat
  • Sneakers/walking boots
  • Wellies
  • Flip-flops
  • Anti-splinters plasters
  • Water bottle
  • Lunch box
  • Reusable cutlery and wrapping paper (not necessary)
  • Notebook and pens/pencils
What happens if the weather is bad?

We have an agenda of activities that can be done in any type of weather. We always check the weather forecast and adapt our diary accordingly.

How are meals managed?

Breakfast is managed by the team while lunch is usually a picnic outside. Dinner is prepared with the children with local produces from the supermarket.

My child is vegetarian/vegan/gluten free/any other dietary requirement or allergy. Do you offer daily vegetarian/vegan/gluten free alternatives?

Of course! In the registration form we ask you whether your child has any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements. We will do our best to adapt accordingly.

How can I motivate my child to learn French?

Early immersion in the language is key, so we recommend all children taking part in our Holiday Summer Programme in France start as soon as possible. Please speak to a member of the team if that might be of interest, and to access Languagenut – an educational platform to learn French in a fun way, which they will receive free of charge once their enrolment has been confirmed.
